
Cat Tassini
Cat Tassini is a filmmaker, media artist, and multimedia designer whose work examines embodiment, ecology, and the material realities of technology from an intersectional queer eco-feminist perspective. Their films and videos have screened at SXSW, the Sofia World Film Festival, and the Cosmic Eye – Gábor Bódy Memorial Conference in Budapest, among other venues. She is the director, producer, and editor of Echo’s Answer, an experimental hybrid documentary about the legacy of musician Trish Keenan of Broadcast, fiscally sponsored by the International Documentary Association, which won Outstanding Sound at the 2022 Art of Brooklyn Film Festival. Her writing has appeared in WFMU’s LCD and One Week One Band.
Currently, Cat is an MA in Media Studies student at The New School, where they are developing research at the intersection of AI and migration, tracing the movement of workers, resources, and communities within AI infrastructure through the lens of embodied media reading.
